Triangular Pop-up Card as used with the Decoupage Christmas Tree


Cut an A4 sheet of card in half lengthways:



Using one piece of the card, score the card in the centre as follows (do not fold the card at this stage):




Then mark the halfway distance on the right hand side and cut the shaded section away:



You will be left with the following:



Now score another fold line half way between the first fold and the cut edge:



Mark the mid point on the first fold line and score the diagonal lines as follows:



Mark the mid point on the left hand edge and cut away the triangular corners:



The next stage is to fold along the crease lines.
The dotted lines show which folds are away from you, the dashed lines show which folds are towards you.





The final stage is to glue the card:

With the card facing you, apply glue (or sticky tape etc) to the triangular section shown below, and then fold the end section over this:




Ensure that the glue has dried and the triangular section is securely fixed before using the card as a base for your project.
